    Marine,

A storm of any magitude down there is gonna put whole new dimension to this fiasco. A few year's back we had a hurricane hit here, not a "big" storm, but a direct hit pretty much. When the water level rose a diesel fuel tank of only several thousand gallon's up-ended. That fuel came to the top of the water and it ran into the nearby town. Many homes had to be destroyed because of that spill. A couple thousand gallon's was bad enough, there are several million gallon's down there. I'm afraid "Katrina" won't look nearly as bad if that stuff get's 12-14 foot above sea level. I really hope it doesn't happen, but I'd say it's just a matter of time. Frank

I cant imagine the logistics of attempting to clean up the results of millions of gallons of oil and even a paltry 6' tide surge..then 100mph winds blowing the stuff over everything, as of now 2 spagetti's showing hits around Pensacola .
Bama doesnt figure out its time to stop the PR BS , give someone down there the reins, call the Navy and get this job done.

    Permit's ?????,

I see where the Gov't is shutting down the making of berm's to stop the flow of oil onto the beaches and wetland's. Because the State and Local Govt's don't have the proper permint's. Please tell me this is a cruel joke. Since when is it against the law to protect your property from imminent danger???? Screw you, I'll ask for forgiveness later!!! Frank
