lcd repair

has anyone replaced the inverter board ? in the lcd monitor. i have a gateway lcd fpd- 1730 crap out on me and was looking for some help?

I can't even get the contrast on my hand held GPS screen to come in sharper and you want what???? I'm trying to build a set of units for different things. One for Florida, one for the northeast. One that I can use just for hunting and another for just marking where I get bites...

hey flat, just get some monel and duct tape, usually works for me, if really stubborn super glue.

I also need a thin metalized shield to keep the RF inside where it belongs . So far 33 dollars is the part cost. But u need to be a OEM and 1000 pcs minimum order poop !!!!! on flat

Flat: if you still need a rf shield go to auto parts and get some lazer printed or chrome machine turned sticky back tape. Easy to work and cheap. Don

the inverter connects to the two fluorescent bulbs at the bottom of the monitor on the inside. Just my luck it is a common occurrence on the 1730, 1780, lcd gateway monitors. I found a shop near by. He does not want to part with the part. He wants me to pay him to fix at his rate. Heck it is a 4 minute job for me. 8 screws and two plugs that have fragile pins. Pins break and sorry flat. Get the heat pen out and melt a new one on. Seams like greek but so does golf to me...LOL Dennis. Nice pics of the marlin.
