If the sender is an arm style it may need to be adjusted and if its a wema sender it may need to be a different length.

If you have digital fuel gauges such as Mercury smart craft it needs to be re-calibrated while filling at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and Full - same goes for any other gauges of that style.
