Does anybody have a laptop they have no use for? I would like to purchase a cheap laptop with wireless card. Doesn't need to be fancy. I want to use it for traveling. I hate taking my good one on trips. its getting pretty beat up. Be willing to pay for it of course.

I don't know if you want to go this route, but there were some Dell D610 on ebay a couple weeks ago for around $300 bucks. Im going to pick one up myself is they are still available. I bought one for work when they were new for about $1300. I think the $3 for a refurbed one is a killer deal. A couple guys at my work have refurbed ones, and they work just as fine, while saving about a grand..........

Go for a mini if you do not need a CDdrive

I think i just saw some scratch&dents and or refurbs at Microcenter

my father in law grabbed one a while back and it is so small and light ,he had to get a new battery so factor that in as well on a used unit

I just got a 10" one that is similar to MSI Wind. I think a new one, non-refurbished costs $350 or $400. I see refurbished ones on ebay for $300.

I have not used my new laptop much yet, but it is so cool. It weights less than 3 pounds. Like Shortfin said it's a "netbook" with no CD/DVD drive.

If you like the concept of the small notebooks, make sure you look for the versions with 6 cell batteries and 10" screens (not 7" or 8.9").

    Squid,

I have a laptop that I haven't used in awhile that you can just have. I don't have a wireless card though, but you can pick that up cheap. The computer works good, never had any problems with it. Shoot me a PM with your address and I'll get it out to you.

I have a MSI wind that I bought specifically for traveling, and I love it! Its a 10 inch screen so big enough to watch some shows or movies while on flight. I can also get rid of all my photo's during a trip onto it. I did get a 9 cell battery for it also so I get approx 8 hrs of life on a single charge. Small, and light makes it nice and easy to pack!

Look up MSI Wind, make sure you go 10" or bigger.

Let it ride if you have one to get rid of Im looking for one for a little idea I have for the boat. I need a donor laptop on the cheap preferably one that works but it doesnt need to be fancy or new. If your still looking to get rid of it Id be interested if its cheap. I dont want to spend a lot on one in case I screw up.
