landscape lighthouse

Does anybody know where to get a well made lighthouse in the 4-5 foot range
for the backyard? Any local dealers in your area or a good web site?

What material would be best etc.

I made a replica of the Oak Island lighthouse with a large piece of pvc pipe. I even found a revolving light to go in it. For the glass on top I used a glass globe from a coleman lantern and sealed a piece of tin on top.

after seeing some for sale locally,i got blueprints and made one myself,not difficult,2 sheets 1/4 marine ply,walk around from 2x6 cut down on my table saw,light from outdoor light post,and white/black paint..easy.and better that anything i saw for close to 500 clams..your occupation as an engineer puts you at a supreme advantage..go for it.

Very good quality lighthouses for sale at Christmas Tree Shops for about $35.....typical lighthouse look which you can paint to resemble your favorite........
