Hang in there Doug!! It sounds like you might be better off already with the first project and the possibility of the other two.
I know of a cable company that axed alot of positions all throughout all levels and positions and now make the remaining employees carry the additional work load on top of thier already overburdened workload.

It seems to just be a numbers game during these troubled economic times.

Doug, good luck where ever you wind up If you ever decide to bring out a potential client on a fishing trip Care of "Double D Engineering", I'll donate a custom rod with the guys name, and company name on it. Whatever you need.
I remember Donald Trump saying the best place to court business is on the golf course, gives you a chance to talk to a client. I would think the same would apply to a fishing trip.
I like golfing myself, if you need a custom putter let me know.

bad news but you seem to be getting on with new opportunities.

The energy thing is going to create quite a headwind.

I would expect unemployment to be on the rise.

An aggressive domestic energy program would give the country a shot in the arm.
