Hang in there Doug!! It sounds like you might be better off already with the first project and the possibility of the other two.
I know of a cable company that axed alot of positions all throughout all levels and positions and now make the remaining employees carry the additional work load on top of thier already overburdened workload.
It seems to just be a numbers game during these troubled economic times.
KNOWING YOU AS I DO....YOUR DAYS ON DA STREET WILL BE LIMITED...SO ENJOY THE TIME OFF......... WILL SEND FISH NORTH IF THINGS GET TIGHT....
IF YOU LIKE I WILL BE HAPPY TO SPEAK WITH MY ASSISTANT MANAGER AT TACO KING ON ARENDALL STREET.....I KNOW THEY ARE HIRING PART TIME REGULARLY......IT WOULD BE COOL IF YOU WORKED THE SAME DEPARTMENT AS I DO......PLENTY OF FRESH AIR .....WE COULD TANDEM LIFT THE TRASH CANS....EASIER ON DA BACK.......
Doug, good luck where ever you wind up If you ever decide to bring out a potential client on a fishing trip Care of "Double D Engineering", I'll donate a custom rod with the guys name, and company name on it. Whatever you need.
I remember Donald Trump saying the best place to court business is on the golf course, gives you a chance to talk to a client. I would think the same would apply to a fishing trip.
I like golfing myself, if you need a custom putter let me know.
Doug, I have resorted to plan B. I'm waiting for my kids to support me. It is a good plan, but it looks like I might be long dead by the time it takes effect. Good Luck, wish you the best.

I know you....You will succeed. You are right this is the kick in the pants you have been waiting for. Look at you already "Double D Engineering", You wont be held down, not you! You work to hard. I wish you the best with your new company.
Kevin - That's very generous, but you have already donated more than enough to me over the years. Too much business is done on the golf course, I always feel like I am wasting time when I am obligated to go.
Tom, Marty, Brian, Neil and all - I really appreciate the encouraging words. Have a meeting this afternoon, next week will be crucial
Good luck on the new beginning Doug! Attitude dictates direction and yours appears to be positive all the way.
Please let me know if Double D engineering is soliciting investors.
