It definatly sucks times are certainly changing I know I have spoken to a quite a few different industries and companies over the past few months and you have to be careful in these times. Heck if Wall Street laid 4000 off in a clip what does that tell you.

Just as they said do what you do best and if you can take a swing at it on your on.

Doug, I agree with Avenger to some point. You've already pulled them out and got the job done. Go back on your own, get ahold of those old contacts and provide the same obvious good service that YOU provided at one time!!! I bet they still remember, but this time don't sell out. I'd rather make a smaller long term living on MY terms, screw the big boys. A living is just that, a living. I don't like someone else pulling the strings, cause they can also pull out the rug. Man that sucks. I know a guy that had a job going to NJ but he got laid off in 2 weeks. I know it suck for him but 8 years WOW I feel for you.

Woohoo! I'm liking this unemployment stuff.

Spend the day working the contacts and got 3 firms asking for an interview. But even better, I just landed my first project for Double D Engineering, and got "probably" for 2 more. The three of them together would be enough work for a year. Couple more and I'll be looking to hire
