    KEY-LIME-PIE DAMAGE REPORT

WELL ITS BEEN A LONG HULL WAITING ON THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO GET ALL THEIR FACT FINDING ISSUES TOGETHER. BUT HERE IT IS IN A NUT SHELL. THE KLP IS SCHEDULED FOR MAJOR SURGERY THIS FRIDAY!

AS MOST OF YOU CAN REMEMBER THE KLP STRUCK A SUBMERGED 55 GAL STEEL BARREL OF DEATH AND FEAR! THE BARREL ROCKETED UNDER THE STARBOARD BELLY OF THE KLP. IT THEN PROCEEDED TO DESEMATE THE STARBOARD TRIMTAB, AS IT CAUGHT THE ANGLE HINGE IT PROCEEDED DOWN, ONLY TO BE PROPELLED LIKE A GUIDED MISSEL STRIGHT BACK UP UNDER THE PORT TRIM TAB...NOW THIS IS WHERE THE WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION INFLICTED ITS PAIN AND HORROR! AS IT DELIVERED A ITS MISSEL STRIKE TO THE INNOCENT PORT TAB, THE HYDROLIC RAM EXPLODED INTURNALLY. THE SUDDEN BACK PRESSURE IN THE LINE CAUSED THE PUMP HOUSING TO SELF DETENATE. THUS LEAVING THE KLP UNABLE TO RIGHT HERSELF WHILE ON PLANE. FROM THE RAM SEAWATER WAS PULLED IN TO THE MAIN LINE OF THE SYSTEM...AND YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!!!

WELL THE INSURANCE COMPANY..."BOAT US" WILL COVER THE PARTS AND LABOR. EXCLUDING MY DEDECTABLE. I'M TRULY GLAD THAT WE MADE IT BACK SAFE...TOM

Tom- Sorry about the injuries inflicted to the KLP, but at least it sounds like she will pull through. Any word on when repairs will be completed and she will be afloat again?

SHE SHOULD BE READY FOR ACTION THE BEGINING OF NEXT WEEK. HOPFULLY ALL THE REPAIRS GO SMOOTHLY....THAN I'M GOING TO INVENT SOMETHING THAT DETECTS 55GAL BARRELS JUST UNDER THE SURFACE! TOM

Tom - Thats good news and bad news. I mean, its sucks that you've got damage that definately needs to be repaired, but on the up side, the Verados and the hull itself were spared any damage......Call me at work when you have a few minutes to talk. I want to hear your WMO stories. From the looks of the final numbers you should definately have a few stories. Paul
