Hello all,

Hello Fishfighter. We probably know each other, I would imagine, at least, we may know our online personas. I still have an honorary Coonass card tucked away somewhere, and have roamed your home state, hitting all the garden spots. Dulac, Morgan City, Fourchon, Venice, Golden Meadow, Grand Isle, Layfayette....you know....the real tourist spots. and I still have two chipped teeth from a night in the Big Easy...
I am a newbie here too. Its a good place.
Welcome aboard.....

Thanks guys.Gringo,I was reading your blog and was able to find this web site.I did miss it on the other web site, but I did have your blog saved under my favorites.Do love that Chrismas stump tree!
For ya'll guys that fish tuna on the east coast,I been hearing ya'll been having a good year on the Bluefin.Well our big yellowfin tuna are about to start showing up next new moon phase. At this time of the year, most boats head out to the "Midnight Lump".It is a saltdome that is in 400' of water and the dome comes up to around 200' down. The surface area is about 1/2 mile round. Now this is about 22 miles south of the Mississippi River southwest pass.We drop anchor and set up a chum line and in no time most days we have yf tuna jumping in the boat till you hook up with a 150-200lber.Then the chase is on.Bad part about all this is that they will have 100+ boats doing the same thing. Most of them have 600' of rode out.Now thats fun trying to keep a fish on thru all that.![]()
