    Just wanna say thanks

I just wanna tell everyone thank you for having me and I am glad yall liked my intro. And thank you Agitated88 for your input. I have decided to stick with a 150. I had the same comcerns about over powering my boat and insurance reasons. I just wasnt too sure though about the limits. I hope eveyone likes questions because being new to offshore fishing I will probably have a lot. I do have a question now aboutmy boat. My ram for my trim started leaking very bad after about my 3rd trip with it down the river. On my last trip when I was heading back to the dock there was a stranded boat. My husbands boat was small enough to get to where the people was so he was able to pull them out off the sand bar to me. Now this boat was a heavy duty alluminum boat with a cab it was probably about 22 to 24 foot. Well I ended up towing them in at idle. Took about 4 hours to tow them in. Anyway, with the story being told. A couple days later when i was cleaning up my boat i trimed my motor down and I noticed the leake well when I trimed it back up me and my dad couldn't get it to stop leaking. Now I trims down smooth but trimming up it keep wanting to stick and it rubs and I have to hit the trim buttom a few times and I can't get it to trim up enough to lock it. What would have cause it to do that and should I shange out the whole ram or just fill back with fluid and see what it does? It is at my father in laws house right now. He told a guy who works for him about it and he said its because someone put too much fluid in it. I don't think thats the case.I'm so conffused. Help we are ready to get out there and start catching some fish.
Sorry my post is so long

My guess is there isn't enough fluid, you should be able to check it where you add it...in the long run, you'll want to replace the leaking ram.....

Thank you Big Fish. I'll look into doing that this weekend.

I can see it's dangerous for you, but if the government trusts me, maybe you could. Agitated88's Avatar

Your welcome...like I stated I am NOT the resident expert, but there are more than a few guys AND gals on this site who will gladly offer advice/assistance. Good luck with the trim problem.
