Just starting a little trolling

I want to start trolling for blue fish but not to far from shore, under 20 miles from shore. I went out a couple times but had no clue what I was doing or where I was going. I launch out of the Great Egg Harbour Inlet. Does anyone have any tips or locations. Thanks alot I am going this weekend probley either saturday or sunday. Thanks alot

Come launch it up by forked river or barnegat light nj and i would be more than happy to help you out...

I dont know about bluefish down there butthe barnegat ridge hasnt been to hot and 2 weeks ago i saw all the BI boys up in the mudhole.. so....

Also i am not a big troller for bluefish but if you do you can troll anything they will eat it if they are there!!
shad rigs, bunker spoons, poneytails, cedar plugs,small jap feathers...

basicallty anything.. but i would troll until you find hem piled up on the scope and just chum them up! alot easier and better fishing!

We always look for birds diving picking up the pieces of baitfish left over from the blues feeding. I ran out of jigs so i put a piece of white cloth on a jig head and they hit that. When they are hungry you can put pretty much anything on a hook and they will bite.

Ac ridge , tripple lumps even on top of the Ge reef and Ac reef or OC reef, anything that swims and shines pull behind the boat you will catch a ton, you might even catch a Bluefin their moving in close now. all them spots are inside of 20 miles

Where can I go to find out excatly where these spots are or where to get to them. Like I said I am starting from scratch. I dont like to be to forward but does anyone have the gps cordinates or these places or how to find them.

well if i were you i would go to one of the local offshore shops in the area and get a offshore charts with the recks and ridges on it then just type them in your gps make sure you get a GPS chart.

George theres one little problem everyone for got to menchen
to ya but the bluefish are on a two in half weeks of spawning
at this time so the blues wont be bitting for a little bit so try
fluking our go to the 30 line were some schoolie BFT have been
use small jets & ceder plugs & feathers of dark colors and have a blast
