There's actually white caps on the elk and the flats tonight. Hard wind and rain right now.

Yeah, I know it. I've already tore up one prop this year, don't want to go through the other. I pretty much had to put the Carver away, between fuel and the damn prop, she was killin me!!! Been stickin to the 21 Starcraft. The center console is easier to work with and the 135 not as thirsty as the 350!
Flat, Do you know where they moved the Crabbin forum to? I wanted to ask for some info on where the crabs might be over the next couple of weeks. I'm tryin to stay in the Elk, or around the point. We set pots in 12 foot last week an did pretty well, but after this rain, I'm wonderin where to hunt?

Hey man , just to let you know i merged the Crabbin forum into Inshore fishing. There was not enough activity and i hope to open it back up next year as the site grows.Originally Posted by hooked4good
My thoughts are as our membership grows over the fall and winter we can open a bunch of forums and keep them active. So please post up in the inshore forum for now.
Hooked, I know whitey pulled the pots for the storm. He was out front of his lifts with the pots in 17 foot last week and killed them. Across from you in the public ramp area the corner was loaded with pots all with in 14 to 17 foot of water for the last month. We were tubing in and around the area as well as swimming there. I will ask whitey where he usually dumps them in after the high pressure comes back and clears this low out of here. Is the starcraft running well? Are you ready for a run south to wortons point for some rock and blues? Big D will hit that area on the troll and west on Monday and let me know if the big pods of breakers are up yetOriginally Posted by hooked4good
Thanks for the info about the forums Admin!
Flat answered my questions about pots! Thanks Flat.
The Starcraft is running very good. Big Jr. bought it, used it a couple times and put her away. Right now he wants to trade me my New Holland Skid Steer for her, so for now I have the boat, he's got the Skid Steer. It's got a 135 Mercury, runs around 40 with 3 adults (big adults) and rides pretty well, but it does run in the red. Put new thermostats and a poppit valve in her 2 weeks ago and she still runs midway in the red. Pump works fine so I keep an eye on the temp gauge and make sure it doesn't run to the pin. Otherwise, we really like it. Wife and 4 year old have been helping me with the pots and traps and we've been enjoying the crabs!!!! I've been setting just off of our beach, about 10 to 15 foot of water.
ps, the pots are actually Sargents, I'm on borrowed status!!! Hopin he fogets I got em, their really nice pots!!!
