Jury Duty.......How do I get out?

Stop it already. Hold all the responses..........Im hear to tell you. I got a notice to go to court for jury duty. Yea right! Im gonna sit there with those morons.
I filled out the questionare just like anyone. All my answers were truthful. I want to sit on a jury, its my civic duty. How many days can I stay there? Can I finish knitting this sweater for my niece? Wheres the mens room? Can I get a coffee? What time do we need to be back? Not for me! Give it to a govt employee. I ride a Harley.
I wrote a letter to the court enclosed with the application explaining how I need to be in a certain judges court room. He did my child support modification after the previous judge died. [ It took that long] I told the court how he acted, in all honesty and I didnt want to see him get away with that with another defendant since everyone is presumed innocent until proved guilty. I explained how he pre judged me, and wanted to put me in prision for such behavior as standing up for my very own rights. All I wanted him to do was enforce his own court order against the plaintiff as he was willing to do to me. He wouldnt do it.
Thats OK.........I want to be in his court room. I think he can benefit from my experience. He will remember me and be glad Im there in his court.
Well, it didnt quite work that way.I was excused before I even got there. Never had to go. DAMN! The scales of justice exclude me once again.
So, next time you get a summons for jury duty.......dont tell them your busy, too important, sick, cant get away, tell them what I said. Ill be happy to do it. Ive seen how the system works and its Fuc#$@ UP. You need me. Just let me know when to report.

Now I just filled a question sheet for the big jury system in camden ? they told me the petit case I was called for doesnt get me out of this??

LOL! I knew a guy that spent the entire time picking his nose. He too was excused. BUT, I didnt even have to show up. Next time include a short polite letter with your questionaire telling them how perfect you are for the job because you had a judge believe a cop that said you were speeding when you werent, so you want to be there to administer justice and fairness to a guy that may have the same problem. You wont even have to show up.

I didnt even GO! They can waste an entire week until you get the opportunity to say that to a judge. Also, I know a guy that said that they still didnt let him leave.
Dont tell them what you cant do, volunteer to do it all. Thats what they dont like.

Well I have been called 7 times and I have yet to sit on a jury. I know too many people in my county as well as attorneys, DA's, and Judges. Plus I make sure i get on the Civil side because plantiff attorneys don't like sitting insurance agents on lawsuit juries. At least now the pay is up to 24 bucks a day. beats the hell out of the 12 bucks I used to get.

I get your point. My point is they keep calling me and I get put on jury's. We go through the motion's, I get to loose a week's work, then "they" (who ever they are) make a deal behind closed door's. What they tell me is because you are a registered voter, your name comes up for jury duty. Does that mean if you don't vote you don't get called? Frank
