I was unaware of the Black Panther's voter intimidation until I learned of it on this board. Go back and read my post immediately after it was brought to my attention and you'll see I immediately condemned it.
To use your words, in order for you and me to be "doing the same thing" you'd have to suggest that you were unaware of the firings of the Dixie Chicks, Bill Maher, Ms. Ashley Banfield, Phil Donahue, Helen Thomas, Octavia Nasr, Rick Sanchez and others as you don't provide any citations of historical posts where you condemned those firings.
Were you actually unaware of those firings? I doubt it. They made first page news and the cable new cycle, particularly on FOX news to which I suspect most of you right wingers regularly tune, was weeks long on these firings.
But let's take you at your word, or at least at the word you imply. If you were in truth unaware of the above firings now's your chance to publicly condemn their firings in the same terms you have publicly condemned the firing of Juan Williams. Please do so at your first convenience and in reply to this post.
Now, as to your post on the rights of Muslims and Blacks. Very telling, indeed. You say if things keep going the way they are now Muslims rights will equal those given to Blacks.
Hmmm. That statement implies at least two important things about the way you perceive the rights of others.
Firstly, it suggests that you support a system in America where people of different groups, in this case races, have different levels of the rights, despite the fact that the Constitution guarantees those rights to every citizen regardless of their race.
Secondly, it suggests that you begrudge the Blacks for having sought and in some areas attained equal rights with whites. Furthermore, you appear to advocate a system where it's natural or should be at least commonplace that those you don't like on the basis of some predjudice or bigotry you harbor aren't entitled to equal rights under the Constitution. That for some reason, perhaps your white race, you and others like you alone enjoy the fruits of liberty under the Constitution and that's how it should be...always.
And, you sick Tea Party / GOPers people call yourselves defenders of the Constitution. Hahahaha. You're anything but. You're corruptors of the Constitution.
Or am I misreading the implications of your statement?
Again, please take the time below to condemn the purge of media personalities regardless of their views even if those views include criticism of Israel, American Exceptionalism, America's current war crimes in Central Asia, the motivations and justness of Muslim extremists to attack us for our decades of killing Muslims, the malevolent character of G.W. Bush, etc.
If that's what you actually believe. I'd welcome the post as it would put you squarely on the side of the Constitution.

It's funny though, you are guilty of the same thing as many on here, in that you selectively only bring up instances or occurrences that go along with the views of your own.(i.e. voter intimidation thread) Where were you when the other side was accused of doing the same thing? Oh, I guess you just so happened to miss that one
