donthaveaboat.....
yea i really hate threads like this and if you want to correct my grammer i could give a hoot... dude give yourself a chance here the way you write, talk or whatever shows who you are as a person. im 20 and can cuss like a pi$$ed sailor but i try my hardest not to. (there is a time and place for everything believe me i have played football for a long time.) it shows a lack of inteligence which from what i can gather from reading you are pretty smart kid so dont sell yourself short man and live it up.
and its a little late for this but, i kinda understand where you are coming from with the whole gun thing. i have friends that are like that. i was raised around guns and i know what to do and not to do.i own quite a few myself. but if you feel the situation is unsafe leave. or you could use your wisdom for the better and try to teach the person respectfully. i help out from time to time at a friends gun store and when you go to hand the customer a gun you check to see that it is empty and show them it is empty. that is what i do now all the time when a friend or whoever wants to show me a gun. just ask them to show its unloaded. simple easy and safe.

Fishskipper,
All parents should read this one. Some parents should implement it immediately.
T-BONE
Are you people actually going to lecture the OP about his decorum and language on a forum that uses the following "smilies". WTF??? (and the "F" don't stand for "Fudge"). This kid's demeaner and attitude fits in perfectly with a lot of the other clowns on this site who can't use youth as an excuse. Go lecture them.

The elders that lack certain social skills are not the ones who will be making the decisions which determine the future of our country or the success of our society as compared to other countries. Personally, "they are who we thought they were" (to quote Denny Green). The kid has an opportunity to make a decision... do I want to be just a run-of the mill, below average "Joe"... or do I want to make the efforts at this point in my life to be something better? The choice is his, but for the more "experienced" in this community, allowing a kid to slide through life without pointing out what few things he could brush-up on is not the right thing to do either... "Give a kid a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a kid to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime".
