The next bite on a jig.
I would consider the application. If you want solid braid in low lbs (up to 130) either one will be fine. If you want solid braid in High lbs (like 200 or 250) then Powerpro. If you want hollow core, then JB.

If you're looking at hollow core only so you can do a chinese handcuff to attach a topshot, hang on a few days. I'm going to be working on a video of an UNBELIEVABLE new knot that will connect regular braid to a topshot or even WIRE (if you so desire----not sure what applications that would go toward but it will work) and is smaller than a chinese handcuff. The knot was shown to me by the owner of Sebile lures which is a lure company we rep. for. The knot gives you the benefit of the chinese handcuff without the extra diameter of the hollow core. Namely there is no knot or tag end to get hung up in your guides.

Sorry to derail the thread a bit but anyway, never used the JB hollow core since it's been Power Pro from day one for me. Stand by for the video.

sorry i forgot to mention application, but its going to be used all offshore on tuna reels. 50w and 80w reels. from what i have seen and from what i learned from Basil at BHP Tackle, Jerry Brown is a safe bet. Squid, I'm all ears for this new knot, but i'm going to do the Jerry Brown hollowcore for the offshore stuff, maybe itll come in handy inshore...
