I've Got A Question About Del. Bay License!?
Can anyone shed some light on whether qr not those of us who fish Delaware Bay; need to have a license if we are fishing in Delawares boundry waters? I've heard different things said but nothing official as yet.

There is a link somewhere here for the info you are looking for, I give it about 2 minutes before some one posts it. I'll look for it in the meantime.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
If you are fishing anywhere a dnr boat can come up to you, you will need the license. It sucks and we fought it for a while, but this was a big thing on the agenda last year and now we have to deal with it. Make sure you buy the right license, they created about a zillion of them. From what I heard they are already hammering on anyone that looks like a fisheman. I spoke with someone yesterday that got hasseled for having a rod in the surf rack. He wasn't even fishing just sitting there watching the guys on the rail at the north side.

Bite me
If you license the entire boat (versus buying individual licenses), anyone who is on the vessel is covered and they give you an individual license so you're covered elsewhere. The vessel license includes a wonderful looking 5" x 5" P.O.S. sticker that I just cant wait to put on the boat. The first batch of them were basically paper, similar to the abandoned vehicle tow stickers you see on the windows of cars, only they were white.
Needless to say, they haven't held up very well since they went on sale Jan 1 and had to get new stickers made up.
I don't mind buying the dumbass license, but I sholuldn't have to put that ugly P.O.S. on the bow of my boat. I wish it was smaller like Maryland's Bay Sport License.
