i'm not opposed to the wind farms, but it's not going to be a pretty sight from the beaches......an interesting sight, but not a pretty sight. guess you've got to take the good with the bad. i'd rather utilize nuclar (w slang) power though. hell, delaware might as well have one since we're so close to the jersey one. good clean energy i think...

fishing will probably be good around them if you're allowed to get close to them.

grady I have not heard a word on the turbines in the Indian river inlet. Question for the board. Do you tink fishing will improve in the location stated for the wind mill farm ?

    structure

I believe that any structure tends to hold marine life and improves fishing, as long as it isn't a capsized scallop boat leaking oil into the environment (sorry got off topic)

    bridge update...

    April 26, 2007

Dover - Delaware Department of Transportation Secretary Carolann Wicks issued the following statement regarding the current Indian River Inlet Bridge bid:

"DelDOT has completed the internal reviews of the Indian River Inlet Bridge project bid process. While the internal procedures for this project were open and based on professional standards, the 2006 Bond Bill provisions authorizing this design/build project are ambiguous. Such ambiguity renders it impossible to assess the legality of the process. To avoid protracted litigation, I believe the best approach is to set aside the bids and initiate a new process as quickly as possible. As Secretary of Transportation, I am keenly aware of the time constraints and scheduling demands that exist with this project but we are confident that with our immediate efforts to clarify the ambiguities in the statutes and continued diligence by the DelDOT project team, we will meet those challenges and develop an attainable and realistic schedule for this very important project. "

ANy structure is good structure as far as I'm concerned... I see Florida scram about putting offshore oil rigs in the gulf. "It might leak"... Well shit it seeps naturally from the ocean floor naturallly and it would be a shorter trip to the refineries...
Down here I'm really surprised that they never dropped turbines in the gulfstream as had been propsed in the late 80's... Never did hear why but somebody probably screamed that it might hinder the white tusked spider crabs migration...
