Folks that are interested in Hatteras Island, might want to check out the Island Free Press.

As many of you know, Natalie wrote for the Breeze, a local newspaper.

Well the Breeze was sold to an out of town big city newspaper, and the editor was loosing local control and eventually they parted ways.

Nearly the entrire staff left too and they all started the Island Free Press.

It is a cool online newspaper that is constatantly updated.

I recomend you sign up for the "join our email list" on the bottom of the page. The Editor, Irene Nolan will email you periodically, when new content is online.

Natalie is writing a little for them too, right now she is VERY pregnant and really is not supposed to do much, other than recline.

They did reprint one of her old stories about duck huntin, Maybelle as a puppie is featured in the article:
