My good buddy "Skunked Again" (who rarely gets skunked) introduced me to this site. I look forward to trading insight with you all.
I am currently stuck in a cube, scrambling to sling insurance like a crack dealer with 5 kids to feed. I hope this forum will be a nice way to avoid jerks and paperwork throughout my day. My current job is a far cry from my previous work experience as a seasonal captain for Tow Boat/US, Boston, and a journeyman captain on various private vessels. My favorite job was as captain of a 70' Hatteras M/Y, because the boss' girlfriend used to bronze her massive fake breasts on the top deck for the whole world to see. He couldn't understand why I always ran the boat from the bridge, when all the electronics were in the main cockpit. The view was much better up there.
I still spend summer weekends running charters, doing vessel deliveries, and boat-handling training for gel-coat terrorists out of Marina Bay in Quincy, MA. Winters are spent on the slopes.
I do most of my fishing in Boston Harbor & Cape Cod Bay, where we have been blessed with the resurgence of Stripers and Bluefin Tuna over the past few years. I love the almighty Striper, especially when they are overweight and hungry for live eels. Over the past few years, I have been trying to perfect the art of targeting the fattest, hungriest striped sea-cows. I have discovered that much like fat women, the best way to put an eel in their mouth is in the dark.
Anxious to wet some lines this Spring.
Enjoy.
