Thumbs down INSURANCE TAX....for WE THE PEOPLE

just imagine ANOTHER TAX.........since the powers to be cannot come up with fair and equitable health reform....a new proposal.....from the Dem hierarchy.......one aspect of the House Democratic plan calls for raising income taxes on upper-income people to pay for covering the unisured.........sure WE THE PEOPLE get the bill......yup...TAX US AND SPEND IT on lazy MF'ers.....

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090925/..._care_overhaul

and of course House Speaker PELOSI WHO DOES NOT HAVE A F'IN CLUE..... said Friday the tax is "under consideration" as Democrats SEARCH for consensus within their ranks before taking a bill to the House floor later this fall.....

"WE JUST HAVE TO SEE HOW MUCH MONEY WE NEED FOR WHAT".....Pelosi said. "And if we're taking the bill down in cost, there are other provisions in the Senate bill that bend the (costs) curve that might be more palatable. We'll see."....

Pelosi didn't specify what other provisions she might find more acceptable. An aide said that if the House does incorporate an insurance tax in its plan, it would HOPEFULLY be a more modest one....

i must ask......WHAT IN THE HELL did we as Americans do to deserve this hand that we have been dealt and must play by an administration that is driven by trial & error or better yet.... tax you and you may get something in return but count on nothing......unless you are needy and want to collect food stamps and unemployment and maniulate the system...... .....just like ACORN did........

Its gets much worse. Read this.....

    Ensign receives handwritten confirmation

    This doesn't happen often enough.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

The note was a follow-up to Ensign's questioning at the markup.

Tryin' to be the man, my dog think's I am. marine diesel service owner

I choose to pay as needed,

I do not have health or life insurance, my CHOICE!!! How is that criminal???? I pay my medical bill's as they come. We as a family go to the doctor's office only as needed, I am not a frequent visitor. We pretty much take care of our selves, just like in day's past. Other than having children at the hospital we don't go, as a rule. About 5 year's back my wife needed emergency surgery. 3 moth's later I had my back operated on after about 26 year's of constant pain (was ingured in a helo operation, that we can't talk about). Got to the point that I couldn't walk for approx 6 week's, so I had the surgery. 3 week's later my then 13 year old son had a tractor tire and rim fall on his right leg, that ended up breaking the femor off at the knee joint. He had physical theropy 7 day's a week, after he got well enough use the leg. Ended up with an infection (that he got at the hoispital, that was treated with a "hickman" port getting IV antibiotic's twice aday. My wife played nurse during the whole time. 6 month's total 24/7 care, that my wife played a major part in. Those were quite a pile of bill's, and I didn't have health insurance. Guess what all of the bill's were "paid in full" within a year. But How? I busted my hump after I was able to get up and go back to work. All PAID, PAID, PAID.
I consider myself to be a responsible tax paying citizen who ask's for nothing. If I pay my bill's, why do I need Health Insurance that I can't afford? Premium's go up without notice, or reason. And in the end they can deny coverage at their discrecion. I don't see that as a very good investment.
As for life insurance, when I die my wife will have a home that's PAID FOR. If she can't make it at that point, shame on her. If she lives within her mean's, it'll work out.
I for one think that the insurance industry as a whole is nothing more than a legal avenue to Drive you into Bankruptcy. My descision, I'll live with the conscequences. As for me when I'm dead, 20 buck's in my pocket will more than pay for the gasoline and matches to do away with my poor worn out body! Yep, sound's like I'm a criminal alright!!! Leave me alone!!!!! Frank
