    TX I'm a new guy

    My name is David and I fish a 33 Rampage out of Port Isabel, TX. I am a lucky guy in that my wife loves fishing as much as I do. We troll for marlin 99% of the time but incidental to that we catch our share of dolphin and wahoo. Every now and again we go to a rock so a young nephew or niece can catch a ling or red snapper. Fine fish but not marlin. I have decided to go with smaller trolling equipment, switching from 80's to 50's. I used to make bay rods so I thought I would try to put some trolling rods together for next summer. All roads seemed to lead to this site for info on how best to do that.
    I graduated from Texas A & M in 1975 and the name of my trucking company and boat is Reveille. I am here for advice and will never post rudely. I look forward to sharing this site with you.

I've fished a few times out of Port Aransas (and spring break on Mustang Island once). Have also spent quite some time taking classes at A & M, most recently last April and May.
