Seas getting here got my tower soggy and a couple guage/ sensors on my one ddec crapped out. I just love being 100 offshore and not know what temperature or oilpressure I have...![]()

Think I'd rather be 100 off with no DDEC than in the ditch with a bad one... Delivering more fuel than it should cause it thinks the engine is cold... Ferocious black smoke every time we throttled up then all of a sudden it started working from about noon on...
Busted bridge has us laid up in Daytona. No sooner got tied up and paid for the slip than they fixed the bridge...
Oh well... We've kind of buddied up with a Whitaker (Sea Lion) a tricked out restored Ocean (White Lightning) and a big go fast 72... We've all made the same stops and dealt with the same BS with the weather... Blowing 30 here and 40 in front of us...

I hope ya throttled up everytime ya passed a snalebote. I used to fish on Sea Lion, a really beautiful day boat out of Montauk & Sailfish Pt. FL as well as Walker's Cay that the owner owned. Too bad she sunk at the dock. You will make good time tomorrow all the way to West Palm, then it's gonna go slow, from what I recall. Hope ya get in before the really bad precip catches ya.
We were able to get south of the main precip... Would have loved 20 more behind me but you can only do what you can do. All of us wound up in the same marina for the seventh day in a row... We all run roughly the same speed so it makes sense...
Only had a couple snails ***** at me so far. That was goin in and commin out of Coinjock... The others have had ample warnin that I'm commin at em and if they want to do ten knots then they are gona get a twelve knot wake dooshin...![]()

I'm gonna go on a limb here... I'd be willing to bet the combine is easier to dock than this thing with 3 knots of side current and 35 knots of crosswind...
Just got wind update from Jupiter inlet. Gusts today to 53. To make things worse. Just flipped the engine switch and DDEC is screaming and coding again...
Unless I'm real wrong I shouldn't be running 63 pounds of oil pressure, 25 pounds of turbo boost, 299 degrees of temperature on coolant and 3 degrees on overall temp... Considering the engine is off...

If I could call I would but its difficult seeing the phone in the black smoke clouds I'm throwin with the ddec screwing up. Add to that the noise of the jimmies and wind screamin it gets tougher to hear. Then it seems in 40 knots cross wind I have a bad habit of both hands on the wheel and sticks...![]()
