Cursing in the threads. Where I dont know, but thats what I was told.To make it up Im going to hold a rigging seminar for those that want to learn to rig special baits. Chuck at tournament cable has agreed to get his rigging table back for me since I will be more than happy to say thank you to him. He gave it to another guy that never said "thank you" so he's going to give it to me.
Anyway, this fall and winter I will be driving around the eastern coast giving free rigging seminars on 4 main baits.
1. Witty
2.Sarcasm
3.Fung-hoo
4. Muzzle
Now the "witty" is a special bait, I like to rig mine on wire because quite often, wahoo jump all over it and you can put them in the box! You can rig them with mono, but beware....they travel in close packs and you may not stand a chance. They will cover you up in a hurry and usually get the best of you unless your prepared. They think the own the ocean, and any bit of wit needs to be protected with wire leaders.
Sarcasm, Is a special bait in my arsenal. You can troll it faster than the witty because most are too dumb to get it. It flies right over their head for the most part. They usually respond to the sarcasm with reckless abandon. Dont be drawn into this or you will find yourself having to re-rig.
Fung-hoo is my favorite. It only takes a minute for the Fung-hoo to come out. But be careful, you can be blamed for it even if its not your bait. It needs to be rigged on lite mono so you can pop them off, one after the other if need be. Very effective on lite tackle.
And the last one im going to talk about tonight is the muzzle. It is usually rigged on 600# test so once its deployed no one can get away. With a large hook 12/0 or bigger, it can hook almost anything but be careful with this bait as its usually deadly and not many survive if you plan to release them. It sucks the life right out of them, they cant breath or speak.
The only other bait im going to show you is the "opinion" This you need to really watch for, very popular......very deadly. So I hope to see all of you there come fall. Thanks for listening.
