    Hi Fess,

We have not heard from Silver Deep specifically. Their office in Grace Bay is fine. They did have one boat left in Sherlock's Marina parking area that looked a bit battered. But knowing Arthur Dean, he has his boats stashed all over the place.

oh another thing i forgot to tell you guys, now you will need a tire plug kit to carry in your truck as your tires are now roofing nail magnets!!! that will take a year or so before they are all gone!!

you are SO right about that... we haven't had a flat yet but have seen plenty that do.... Gringo keeps yellin' at me..."WATCH OUT FOR THAT BOARD WITH THE NAILS...!!! I don't want to have to try to get that spare tire off the carrier." Of course it is totally rusted to the Land Rover and requires either some specialty tool or Gringo's latest McGyverism... lol

The plug kit is a good idea. I have one in my truck and it has saved me from having to change a tire several times. Of course my truck has an air compressor which is also a good thing to have

we are soooo darn lucky up here !

we just got back from Dania beach / Ft lauderdale even and the seas are kicked up pretty good just from the wind gradient from your storm. After watching the BBC news network last night showing Cuba taking some massive waves against thier sea wall Christine and I were thankfull we did not get Ike! (By the way kinda cool to see real news also if you have a dish set up unlike the BS that our news gives you! we even seen the new Ford Fiesta that gets 65 mpg and seats 5... never mind don't get me started!!!,,...) anyway if anyone from the keys evacuation were to grip about leaving and seen the news or seen your place ..I think they would have to shut up .. and that new slime tire sealer is great to have also it seals the nails or nail holes up in the rubber. Thankfull we didn't get the storm!

I heard from my dad that BBC had the best coverage on these storms. Unfortunately, our satellite dish completely inverted (concave to convex) and this was done by the WIND!! We face the ocean so it wasn't flying debris!!

Good news - we got power back to our house last night so will move back there today. I hear the phones are still out tho so will not have internet. Rest assured though that all is well.
