Personnaly I don't believe in banning...it infringes on free speech...if you don't like a guy put him on your "ignore" list...personally I don't do that either...it's no fun....

I dont think anyone should be banned. Its always fun when it happens but if your just being a jerk youll go away on your own. The first rule should be 1. No cursing allowed after all there are more clever ways to express yourself. We take a two week vacation a year when the MA500 and the WMO are on because jer likes to zero in on me then anyway. And instead of getting upset, alls fair in love and war.....Now dont suggest a seperate forum because that wont work. Imagine if that senator yelled out in the shower..."YOU LIE".......it only has the effect we look for in the correct context. It works because he said it at the right time. Another thing, you cant be totally anonymous either. That just wont make any sense if your not responsible for what you say. You should have a few friends to keep your thinking in check, if you dont youll say anything. [ like longfisher] I say bring back vinnie, just tell him to stop dropping the f bomb. If your not laughing at him you just havent ordered one of his pizzas yet.

Theres only one in the history of this site I can think of. The guy was a true to the definition stalker. Disrupted every serious thread I tried to write. There was a second one equally malicious but once in a while at least he offered up tips or advice of some value to the site. The one though to date I have never seen offer and valid advice. He stalked me without mercy insulting not only me and my passengers but talking dirty in a thread about my daughter too. I asked to have him banned and was told by powers that be that this guy knows me personally and can back his bs up?
Last year I found out who the guys is. I , nor anyone I know has ever met him! His claims to know me and or "People I have fished with" are 100% bullshit... So he even flat out lied to the powers that be. Things seem to have eased up now that I know who he is. I have printed a mountain of his crap ready to mail to people important in his life if keeps up.

There have been some questionable characters come to this site through the years. I have been asked to weigh in and my answer has been pretty much supportive of them and the "color" they add to the site.

For me unless someone is guilty of deliberately and maliciously trying to hurt someones ability to earn a living, let em rock.

There is a new member who's political postings are generated for the sole purpose of creating discourse. Vile repulsive inuendo that flies in the face of our very foundations. If he truly cared about his cause a fishing site would not be his platform to inform. He I believe is not an asset to the site in any way. I'd assume that if people stopped responding to him he would simply go away rather than ban.

If he succeeds under his way of thinking.....the country will fail. Better he get it out of the way early so we can begin to repair the damage of NOPE. I guess its how you look at it. Is the water in the glass leaking or evaporating?
ps, I dont remember anyone that was upset when all the left wanted GW to fail. I think they said it too. Thats ok, nothing better than the left trying to protect the poor while at the same time checking their 401 K.
