    "Ice" fishing Info needed!!!

    Are their any Ice fishing people out their? I collect old fishing rods&reels&taclke,and got a bunch of Ice fishing stuff and thier were like a dozen of these weight lookin things....their were even some "home made" lookin ones with what looked like poured lead with a allagator clip stuck in it? and their was a bag of new ones that looked like a weight with a rod with a spring on it??/ What are these things and what are they used for ????? Some one tell me please!!!!!!!! Thanx ><))))'>

    Doesn't pay enough!!
    A weight attached to a alligator clip is used as a sounder. Gets your line down deep fast so you can find bottom and adjust your depth. Clip it to your hook let the line out till it hits bottom and you mark your line. Post some pics, maybe I can help.

    Yup thats what they are,cause one of the bags of the new one's I can make out the word "Sounder's" Thanx for the help!! only wish the water froze enough to ice fish in Jersey!!! Got a round 15 of them and no use for them

    We had two nice days this week...woke up this morning to freezing wind...and some puddles were frozen....

    Someone must want this el crapo weather...todays the suns shining but the wind is ripping and its about 25 degrees or so..
