I won my own Deeps DAOTD award...

I was the proud winner of Deeps Dumb Ass of the Day award today...
Decided to grill some hot dogs... Tunred the gas on and hit the ignitor... Seems pretty simple... I was on the cell when I smelled gas... Opened the lid to see the burners hadn't lit... Kind of fanned the area to get rid of the sitting gas. I guess I didn't fan good enough. The reulting WHUMP! that shook the house when I hit the ignitor was enough to rock my world and blow the battery cover off my cell phone!
So theres a little less hair on my arms. My eyebrows and moustache are shorter than they were this morning. My ears are ringing and my cell phone wasn't... I earned Dumb Ass of the Day this go around...

Been there done that! The burnt hair smell went away in a couple days!
Ringing a little longer
Took me a half hour to find my dog. She took off after the explosion!

That was my second award just this month! The other one I backed into a ceiling fan cord. I just happened to be thinking about spiders moments before. When it touched me I launched across a coffee table stacked high with magazined. I landed in the magazines which slipped out from under me. As I sat there between table and couch folded in half I was pretty embarrased...

I actually had a nother similar whump years ago at my old house. I hadn't grilled in months. I turned the gas on and that one needed a long match to go in the hole. I tried a couple times but kept bumpong into something that put the match out. By the third try the gas was buil up pretty good and it went with a whump! Then a half dozen burning rats came shooting out the vents!
Now that was a sight!!!!
