Smile I Wish We Had A Hinches Here

During my fishing over the last couple weeks we did quite a bit of marlin "Trying" with only a couple fish raised for a lot of days worked. Any way I came to find the store boughts I used the first day sucked. On the other days I dipped into our supply of back up bait and found they were not much better.
I used to chase bait in Cape May and spend hours shivvering in the dark of different shops freezers to get enough to fish tournaments. Then I found Off The Hook at Hinches... I didn't have to dig any more. I could walk up to the case and right there was absolutely stunning bait that I could reach in and grab and buy.
In the past bait here in Palm Beach has never really been a concern. We have specialized world famous bait shops strewn around town. Normally I could go and find prime stuff in any of them. Well, since fall that hasn't been the case. I spent the last two days freezing my cahones off in different freezers trying to find enough good stuff to just get through this next event. Damn thats cold in there. Five shops I found five good dozen packs and a total of eleven good packs of selects. There is not a horse in town I would call better than a medium...
I would have gone to Miami to BM and got there but its raining hard and the traffic reports had the road dotted with wrecks... For those of you close to Hinches, count your blessings. They are the shizzle...

If you send them ground with nothing to keep em cool they will probably be better than some of the caca I saw in some of the shops today.

Vacum seals gone, no tails no beaks, surrounded in blood or ice, small mediums being sold as "horse"...

I would have taken the ride to Miami but the weather had 95 loaded with wrecks... You know how picky I am... Maybe not... You always have the right stuff right in front...

If tomorrow permits I'll go to south county for some private stock stuff...

Despite emerging from the deep freezes of central palm beach countys finest shops covered in frost and a nifty shade of blue there was not one cup of coffee to be had... Not a single Grady to toss a ball to... No hotties behind the counter... Buck Marshall and Willie are great guys but Mary, they aint.

BTW- There were three "targets" on the Viper doppler afew minutes ago...
