The post I made the other nite on TF....and making the statement....."that Marty was not my favorite person....therefore....SFC kinda sucks" was out of some past issues and frustration and I wish now, I had not made it. I do like SFC....and appreciate all the effort that has gone into making this site one of the best.....Just that I can't deal with Marty. I want this site to continue to prosper along with thoes that support it.

The negative comment I made on the other site should not have been made, and to thoes that took offense, and rightly so, I apologise.

And for the most part I will but, can't quite figure why a guy in the business would be smart enough to say anything derogatory about anyone on any forum. That is about the brightest marketing plan I've ever heard of. Wanting to a part of SFC, selling product here and bad mouthing one of it's foundation members, what the heck is that all about? Do you see any one of our world class sponsors bad mouthing anyone, ever?
You might not remember this but long before we had computers we had telephones. Somehow we managed to work our problems out without firing aimlessly into cyberspace while thumping our chests.
If you wanted to apologize to SFC members, fine. But why even in the body of your apology would you feel compelled to drag the man's name into it?

I have a special place for my Turkey feeder lid...............I just don't get it.

Don't know any history between Marty and the Turkey Feeder guy. An outside observation though.

It appears that the argument is very one sided. Kinda like president Bush said "you're either with us or against us". It seems here that if you disagree with BOX that you are against SFC. That just isn't right.

I have never met BOX but have learned many things from him by watching his videos and reading his posts. He appears to me to be a stand up guy and a "man's man". I will continue to read Box's posts and watch his videos.

I never have met Turkey Feeder but he seems genuine as well. He makes a decent product and obviously likes fishing. Don't know what happened between him and Box but what ever it was left a bad taste. Is he wrong for having hard feelings?

It is sad that one can't voice an opinion of dislike or dissatisfaction without being hung be the SFC community. The main reason I started visiting this site regulary is because of the no bashing attitude the site has. Admin worked hard to get this site up and going with POSITIVE posts and replies. Seems like it might have slipped a notch. We need to get back to the POSITIVE.

Come on guys, get off the negative he said she said crap and move on. Let's get back to making SFC the number one fishing site on the web and quit the petty games.

Nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone or even not liking them, happens all the time. But to go on another site and bash this one along with BOX is just not right...then he comes on here and apologizes but slams Marty again in his apology. There are too many SFC members for all of us to be singing "Kumbaya" all the time, but you don't have to take differences public, especially on another site. I wouldn't be half as pissed if he had just come on here and said "I don't like Marty."

wow....I missed the post on the other forum. I usually try not to get involved in this kind of thing. It normally ends up going nowhere and takes up some time we could spend fishing and posting the reports. If there is a problem with an individual why not take it up with that person? Maybe a PM or phone call would have been a better idea. We all say and do things we wish we had never done but I dont understand taking it to another forum to do it?

I have never met marty but I do know the time he takes to help make everyone a better fisherman. He spends more time on the water than most of us are able to and then shares the knowledge. And makes a damn good video!

I don't know Marty as a personal friend but i do consider him a friend as our paths have crossed many times and will continue to now i can put a name to the face. Anyway i have as many others have a great respect for Mr. Marty (BOX) Hiatt. This is a North Carolina fisherman who gets and commands great respect wherever he goes. His record is self explanitory also he goes to extremes to help his fellow man in what ever may come about. Unlike most he has opened his world to all of fishing, hunting and life in general some may choose to take in this some not but how many people do you know that are willing to share life experiences with us like that (if you shut up and pay attention you might even learn a bit). So before you come on this site bashing a man of Mr. Marty Hiatt's stature take a damn look in the mirror brother before you cast another stone. The SFC family ain't gonna tolerate to much of this crap keep it on the other crap sites!
