I need a project boat,

Hi all, I was hoping someone here might be able to help, I'm looking for a hull running or not over 27'. I was looking at a 31' fountain and liked it a lot. I am not going to limit myself though, any suggestions? It doesn't have to run, or even be on a trailer, just a good hull that needs some tlc. Thanks' Paul

Cool hand, I would like to rig a boat with a pair of optimax motors and enough fuel to get to the green canyon, deep rigs for some tuna and mostly around here for some cobia and snapper. Would like at least 200 gallon fuel capacity. Something that will hold at least two 225's and an open fisherman. And your right you would think there would be boat hull coming out of the wood work over here. Help me if you can, Thanks,

Sorry, don't know of any particular boat, but wanted to say how much we like our 31' Fountain. Stick with that if you found one.

A couple come to mind Cobia, Grady White and Parker, with the Grady being my 3rd choice. All are good boats that offer a place to get out of the weather should you decide to run the the lumps or Petronus. The Parker may not have the speed or l,ines you want coming from a 31 fountain, but they are solid work horses. I have fished The Cobia 250 WA, nice boat with good fishability. Twin 225s may be over kill .

A Seacraft 23 can take the weight of the 225s even though you would have to raise the floor and with a bracket the boat would about 27 ft long. Id also check out some older intrepids.
