Aren't they just the best....I really enjoy them when I pull my boat up so quietly up on a sod bank in pursuit of a nice lunker bass in the early fall. I worked at least 15 minutes being so stealth bumping the boat in and out of gear with the electric motor. Then gently stake it to the bank, grab my rod and bag, then tip tow to my spot. The sun is barley peeking above the horizon and a take a deep breath in total peace with the land and my surroundings. I decide what to put on and how I going to vicktor tonight. Ooo...ooo....look it there. I see some bait getting disturbed and pushed out from the deep cut and over hang next to the salt grass. "you know what" I tell myslef...I think I'll wait five minutes and really let them get worked up. Oh my god his huge, as his back breaks free from the water line. Al right he's mine. Its just you and me here bass, and you're gonna get caught. I take a breathe and releases my bail in complete patience. I can't wait.

Your right about that tackletrap. Just the fact those damn things disturb the slilence of the morning makes me itch. It never fails. I'll have a charter Fluke fishing in the back in one of my favorit spots and we will be picking up some nice fish and all of the sudden WORLD WAR III. Then to make things better they will circle the boat. Well, need I say any more about the bite we HAD! DONE! I think this year I'll bring extra weights and see how good my aim is.
Yeh man they are a real pain. It alsways seems like when you don't want them around, thats when they show their ugly head. I'm sure they are fun but if your ride once in awhile, but to a fisher they suck.
WHY IS IT THAT WHEN 250 BOATS ANCHOR UP IN A TIGHT COVEY, DO THE JET SKIIERS WANT TO 'POWER UP' AND BLOW BY MY STERN WIDE OPEN? THEY SIT AND DO WHEELIES AND PIVOTS 15 FEET FROM MY TRANS ALL WHILE I AM CHILLIN' CHILLIN' & GRILLIN' IN THE PIT , .... SUNSET SITUATIONAND THE "PONEYTAIL" TRYING TO RELAX WITH ME......GIVING ME THE OL EYE,...THE GOOD EYE........
NOTHIN' ....I MEAN NOTHIN' PERTURBS ME MORE THAN A JET SKIIER TRYING TO SHOW OFF..........AT MY EXPENSE
THEY HAVE MILLIONS OF ACREAGE TO RIDE IN SHALLOW WATER , AND ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS RIDE WHERE THEY CAN BE SEEN...............
I THINK THE LAW SHOULD ONLY ALLOW JET BOATING BY THOSE 76 AND UP........
Another problem with them is they turn sharply and i can never get a good angle on them with the boat or sinker. Marty, Im sure you could get them outta your area by doing some skeet shootin
