I lost my best Friend and Wingman

Its taken me awhile to be able to post this, but I'm finally able to write something about it so here goes.

My Little Buddy Soze' was taken from me unexpectedly on 11/15/08. He was just 5 years old and in perfect health. For those of you who new him he was a ball of energy all the time. He could run for hours and just keep going. All he ever wanted was to be loved and get attention, every time someone would come over he wouldn't leave them alone until he gave them at least a dozen kisses. (Something he did eversince he was a puppy) He was my wingman, riding shotgun everywhere I went. Anytime he would hear the car keys he would run for the door. I had him since he was 6 weeks old and from then on he was with me everyday taking the 1 hour plus ride to and from work everyday with me. Spending many days with me on the job site guarding his truck. When he wasn't my helper on the job he was t grandmoms house running with his buddies Taz, Giilgan and Abby. Chasing squirrel, rabbits and anything that moved. He was crazy when he would run we would call it the "Boot Skoot" he would get all excited squat down on his back legs so low that his but was almost dragging on the ground. He looked so cute when he would do that. There is so much more to say about him, from taking to the beach or out in the boat and the time he jumped off the baot and grabbed a fish right off of my hook. And then swam back to the boat with it in his mouth. He was so proud of him self and look on his face was priceless. To just going to the bay to take him swimming, no matter where I went with him he loved it as long as I was there with him. I miss him so much and keep thinking he will be here when I get home or when I wake up in the morning and give me one of his looks like "Come on Dad lets play"
I wish I had an answer for his death but no one can tell me anything yet. All I know is I dropped him off at the vet to spend the night while I was at a wedding and got a phone cal that he was dead when they got there in the morning. I wish I didn't take him there and he was stilll here with me.
I will miss you forever and you will always be in my heart

I know to well how you feel. Makes you say "never again", but that would be wrong. He loved you because you loved him. Those that don't have a connection with dog's don't get it, but we do. Give yourself some time and find your "next" best friend. Frank
