...but they were.

You'll recall that Obama used a pocket veto to ward off a bill that passed both houses of Congress with almost no debate and virtually no press coverage that would have exempted all the conspirators to the nations financial disaster from accountability by rendering all foreclosures legal no matter what sorts of illegalities were found in the title process or the foreclosure process.

Well, after a veto the House can take a vote to see if the veto will stand or be overridden. This bill was called HR3808 and the vote to override was about as clear a declaration of war on the middle class, a rejection of the notion of states rights and primacy in real estate transactions and a capitulation to the big banks that own the GOP as I've ever seen.

Here's the actual results, representative by representative:

But the summary is what's important. Most Democrats voted against overriding Obama's veto and virtually every single Republican voted for it.

I don't think I've ever seen as clear a case of the GOP voting against the middle class and for the elite class as this. And, the ironic thing is that they didn't have to do so as with the Democratic majority in the lame duck session the override had absolutely no chance to pass.

They not only voted against the middle class, they did it with a sharp stick in the eye too.

Malicious, at best.
