What do you call a busload of attorneys going over a cliff with a couple empty seats?
A crying shame!
I have a few attorney friends and they admit, it is the 99% of attorneys who give the other 1% a bad name!

Ok is this bad, yes it is, very bad but what it showed is that over time, the environment can bounce back. She had some valid points and IMO, not so valid..

Hmmm..wouldn't it make sense that the oil companies/drillers be required to drill TWO (2), holes in the same spot, you know just in case they have a problem and need a "Relief Well" if there is a problem?
Sure, it would cost more, but if the Government made it mandatory to issue "Permits" for deep water drilling, the costs im sure would spread out over the gallons sold in some way shape or form that would be miniscule, in comparison to the billions it will take to clean up this mess.
Since it is fairly obvious, the only way to stop these "runaway" wells is with "Relief Wells", why not drill them at the same time as the main well.

Now that's a common sense approach to a problem that WILL repeat itself in the future. Maybe some relief wells in all the offshore wells currently producing? Create some jobs, increase saftey, save our oceans. No, it will never happen to much common sense, besides who would pay for it the oil companies, heaven forbid. We'll just get the fedral government (tax payers) to take care of it later.
