Man you just cant beat fishing for huge YFTs on a long range boat out of Southern Cal. I miss those trips. Talk about a adrenaline rush 10 people hooked up to monsters in standup gear all crammed into the starboard stern corner with the crew pulling their hair out trying to pass rods through rods and unweaving all that mono and braid all while tuna are dying on the deck !! No sleep for three our four days because the bite is so hot!!! Im ready to go back and do that again. Great trips.....Mark

I can just picture it now trolling thru a sulfer line on a 3 degree break in 1000 fathoms. All eyes fixed on the baits and dredges and all of a sudden zzzzzz thier he is left long!!!! Throw it in free spool and 5 -10 seconds later whitey is airborne. Thats pure wood for me.
best location for grander? and best boat?

Im not sure if it is the best but I would say it is in the top 3. As far as crew goes they are 1 of the best in the world and the best crew I know of in that area.

After spending last season on the GBR as crew on a boat, hands down, the best big marlin fishing in the world is OZ on the GBR. Working out the details now to be on a charter boat for the 2008 season. IF you can make it happen, and its not cheap, save the $$, put the vacation days in your budget, etc....plan it & make it happen. amazing experience. afterwards, you won't even think about the $$.

The multiple images in your head will be life-lasting.
snorkeling the reef every morning, just the bait fishing can be off the hook, 200-1200 lbs blacks coming up on baits, inhaling them & dumping more than half a 130 at 35-45 lbs drag--now we're talking marlin fishing.
