Bigfish,Man this stinks. I'm sorry for your and your family's loss and will keep you all in my prayers. I lost a very good close friend this way this year and praying I do not lose another. As a friend said to me "this is a permanent solution to a temporary problem"...sad, very sad.

sad to say that "the uncertainty is now certain"....

why....well only the deceased knows....prayers for those seeking answers as a life should never be taken for granted...

A guy I went to High School with did this too. Fortunately he didn't have any kids. The saddest part in his case was that everybody saw it coming, and had him admitted for treatment. First night in the hospital was his last.

It's hard to fathom what goes on in the mind of someone like this, but pretty easy to see the effect on those close to them. This family has a tough road ahead. Bigfish, I know you'll be there for them, and they should also look into counseling and a support group. They need to try to stem the ripples of destruction that radiate from this.
