Hears the deal we have under 1000 acres of PRIME land joing us on the back side is the Pungo Refuge & on one side is a big track of private land that I very seldom see anyone on & the other two sides are HUGE crop fields when I say huge I mean huge. The land is located right where Hyde, Beaufort & Washington counties come together just about 5 minutes from Pantego. The Pungo Refuge is a Bear Sanctuary & a draw only hunt for Deer. Several box stands are in place now also there are 2 Duck Impoundments on the property that needs to be planted with deep water canals around them so flooding will not be a problem with little effort. Also there are 2 more older impoundments that are small in the timber that holds water naturaly. As of now there are only 6 members with only 3 hunting regular which is me & my son & neighbor. The others may come down a couple of times during Bear season. As of now no one Bow, Muzzelloader or Duck hunts. The only draw back that I have found is the Snow Geese & Tundra Swan are loud sometimes coming from Pungo lake to the fields to feed I guess this would not be a problem if you hunted them.. There is also a 3 Bedroom farm house 2 minutes away that we lease year around. It has a full kitchen,3 bedrooms, living room & 1 bathroom with shower along with a skinning shed out back. I must say there will be NO small Bear killed & there will be no Bear killed by a guest.
You will be expected to help out a couple weekends a year for work days. Dues are $1600.00 if you have a young child in school there is no charge for them. There are nice roads & lanes on property we just need a little participation. Right now it is mostly me & my neighbor keeping the land & house up which is just to much for a couple of people. 252-422-0066
