Hey wait. This could work. They call to complain and are asked for their name and place of employment. Pancho tells them his name and where he works. The next day the INS shows up and Bye Bye Pancho. This could work if done correctly.

    Excuse Me,

Did she just say they all deserve to get paid fairly, whether they're documented or not"??? How about "be sure you are documented and we can help make sure you are paid fairly"? I think WE have exactly ONE Election left, if WE don't make the changes needed (whether the liberal minded like them or not) it's over and I mean over. We are allowing ourselve's to be turned into a disgrace. Frank

Sometimes my logic get's lost in the Arithmetic and I end up confused----

America can't compete globally due to the fact that much of our labor costs way more than the Global free entrprise system will allow---- "Real" Americans refuse to work at labor rates beneath their demanded standard of living, so American farms and factories hire illegal aliens who are happy to perform manual labor at globally competetive rates, but we (the US), don't want these illegal alliens, nor do we want empoyers to pay market based rates so we will ensure we do everything possible to inflate wages even further. American businesses fall further behind competively and more and more work is "farmed" out overseas. This of course builds upon our very high unemployment rate which further fuels the need for more stimulous money from the government--- The stimulous will build jobs that cannot survive because Americans can't compete, so we increase the minimum wage again to offset the cost of governmental programs and provide a standard of living all Americans are entitled to----

It seems this circle just gets smaller and smaller.

    Damn, I hate higher math.

    Glenn,

It's called chasing your tail. That's why us working stiff's can't seem to get ahead. It seem's to me that just treading water is as good as it get's. Your logic isn't flawed, it's just everything is set up in "artificial" standard's. A good example to me is "just how much is a trillion dollar's"? Does our currency even have anything of value to back it up any more or is it just paper? Since when did we start borrowing money from those that are against us? No none of it makes sense anymore. Frank

Glenn I don't entirely dissagree but isn't it a little bazzare to you that the government is urging known law breakers to seak their help?

How would that be different than issueing the same PSA for those with outstanding criminal warrents?

Absolutly. A fundamental tenant of law is that there are no remedies if the action for which a remedey is sought, is conducted illegally. In this case, the illegal action (act) is undocumented workers (Aliens) working to begin with. They should have no remedies to disputes over wage rates, since thir acts (work) are not legal to begin with.
A classic analogy is a drug dealer gets screwd by a customer not payng for the drugs. Obviously, the drug dealer cannot seek a remedy from the Government (courts).

This is similar in some ways to the O Admin's moretorium on deep water drilling in the gulf. Politics and idiology running policy outside the bounds of legal jurisdiction.
