How's Everybodies Work Loads?

Just wondering how everybodies work loads are..... My "real job" is with the federal government so we are still busy. My "side-job" (guiding) is non-existent. Winter is usually a little slower but not this slow. So how is everybody else doing?

I am a financial advisor/stock broker/insurance agent and i am swamped right now. Very good thing for me...

I don't know what to say... I'm over whelmed by the private work. Even turning down charters lacally due to time restraints. I saw the yard swamped with people looking at boats to buy while I was doing our bottom, hull job...
I see all the yards stuffed but I do notice that when boats launch there aren't ones comming in to fill the empty slots. Trying to get people to work on the various projects is waiting list stuff right now but some projects crews were waiting and hungry...
I don't see a hell of a lot of people fishing though... Some ditch cruising and "getting ready" but no major flow out to the blue...

In the short 30 years I've been in the concrete business I've never seen it this SHITTY !! I hope the Bastards inside the DC Beltway are plannin on bailouts for all of us little people & not just the Corporations that fill their greedy F----ing pockets !! This country is goin in the Shit Tank when it comes to makin a livin !!! my .02 worth

We are just starting to slow dow, the company i work for manufactures rebar supports for the concrete industry, aside from that we sell and rent forms as well as concrete acessories. The main reason for the slow down is most of the suppliers that purchase from us are closing their year out and keeping their inventory low....its like this every year, by mid january we will be swamped again....my division had a great year with the manufacturing end of the business up 40% from last year....however the other 2 divisions, forming and acessories are down quite a bit....actually the local customers are hurting bad...lots of lay offs by some pretty big companies, the saving grace for our division is the fact that we supply distributers in the south and mid west.

Business is booming. There will always be kids going to school. And with a 9 month and a 2 1/2 year old it doesn't slack up after work. LOL.

Business flat out sucks..... I am in the concrete industry in maryland, mainly residential and there is not much going happening right now or for the last two years!!! And what work we do get, it takes 90+ days to get paid for if we are lucky enough to get paid at all... I hope something changes soon!
