I'm just curious here to see if anyone can figure out how to break PVC tubing. I'm interested because that is the material I use to ship my blanks in.
Now I have jumped on it, bounced on it, swung it into trees and nothing. I can however crack it with a hammer, but if a post man is hitting with a hammer then I'm ready to hit him.
So here lies the question, Why has my postal people managed to break two blanks now. This last one I found out today, and the the whole tube was crushed and the blank was shattered. Now why in the hell would the delivery guy drop that off to the customer and how did it happen. I'm guessin they shot it out of a missle directed to the house, and whammy it lands in the yard into pieces. Sorry but they must not use their brain sometimes!
Sorry just venting cause now I'm out a blank and have to go through all that insurance crap.
HEY TRAP................SORRY FOR THE MISFORTUNE....BUT IT IS A FUNNY DESCRIPTIVE STORY!..........I COULD WRITE A BOOK ON DESTROYED PACKAGES...............
LT I wisih you were right but they were my first venture. You will average over $20, cause anything over 72" and its an arm and leg. Plus they broke a bundle of 4 blanks my very first try with them. Then I went to DHL and now they raised their rates and they had three mixups with miss placed rods. So I just use post office now. They take up to 130" and its always under $20 anywhere in the 48 states with insurance. Hell this week alone I sent three rods to Australia, 1 to North Ireland, and 1 to England, al of them were under $35. If I used the brown suiters it has to go express and all over $50 each.
Whoonbox, I think the funniest for me was when I had a jar of rod epoxy split and go all over everything else. I think I'm gonna start to ship jello in a box just for the fun of it to random posties employees! Thats made jello just flopped into a box. I'll do red and green for the holidays!
My post office is f'd up then! I sent 1 rod within the US and it was $30. Recently shipped a 4" pvc sewer tube that was 87" in length, had 2 built rods in it, for $17, using fedex. I have found ups to be somewhere in the middle.
