Every gun is different so it pays to try different powder charges in increments of 10 grains if you're shooting loose powder. Pellets come in either 30 or 50 grain equivelents. That means they're equal to a 30 or 50 grain charge of black powder.

I have a T/C Omega that I shoot shockwaves out of and I use 110 grains of 777 loose powder. I get better groups with that load than 2 50 grain pellets and more power.

Totally agree with this statement! I bought a TC pro-hunter 2 years ago and my buddy bought one last year. We both shoot shock waves. Mine groups best with 125 grains of loose his groups best with 110 grains loose.
Pellets are great for ease of use but limit your tuning ability if your after the best load for accuracy.
