SL2F, do you belong to the order of the eastern star? if your pop was a mason you should look into that.
What a coincidence to have Masons on here. My Dad was a Mason, my mom was in the Eastern Star, and my sister was the Grand Worthy Advisor for the State of NJ(Rainbow Girls). Me...I am just a lowly Elk. But I am in a chair as Inner Guard and this charity stuff makes me feel great. Power to you all for considering ANY charity work. It makes ones soul feel good I can tell you that...

I too am a Mason from Texas. La Porte 857. I live in New Jersey now, but masonry is still with me.
what a coincidence. my grandfather is a mason, my grandmother was a member of the eastern star, and my sister was a member of the rainbow girls when she was younger. i have a lot of family members who are masons.
i have pics of my grandparents dressed up fpr the gatherings they used to go to. my grandmother had to wear this long green gown and my sister had all these formals she had to wear. she had a lot of fun with the rainbow girls.
