Obama looks like he's taking every opportunity to distance himself from the Jews' attack on Iran, if it comes. Firstly, there was the yahoo Israeli who is the "Minister of F'ing up Iran" (actually of Strategic Studies or some crap like that) who got the schism between Obama and Bibi out in the open recently when he said that Obama was afraid of starting a war with Iran or letting the Israelis do so because the trauma inflicted on the U.S. and world economy would be severe is afraid for pure political considerations during an election year. OK, out in the open, now what.
Didn't take long for Obama to cancel the planned war games (joint-exercises) with Israel even though 9,000 U.S. troops are already in Israel as the advanced party putting together the war games. Then Obama is sending the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to Israel Thursday, ostensibly to tell them to cool it just a Mullen did some months back. As a side note, Mullen is reported to have also told the Jews that another U.S.S. Liberty incident wouldn't be handled like the last one was by Johnson. About darned time!
The Bibi states in an interview that the new sanctions regime on Iran is "beginning to bite". Some consider this to be a public signal that the Jews are rethinking their rash actions because the last thing in the world the Jews need is for the U.S. to turn its back on them.
When the Jews earliest patron, the Soviets (yes, the Soviets once occupied the sad position we do vis. a vis. the Jews), turned its back on them they were like little scared children or perhaps like woebegon parasites looking for another host to infest. If the U.S. were to finally turn its back on them they'd vanish as a people, I think. There's so few nations who remain even on talking terms with them much less who would step in a be their patrons.
Reports are that the CIA has coined the Jews recent pressures on the U.S. as the "Hold Me Back Strategy". You know, where the lightweight throws air punches at a formidable opponent all the while enjoying and encouraging a restraining enfluence so that he doesn't actually have to land any blows. So, Bibi and the Jews are becoming a laughing stock over their Iran strategy of trying to pull the U.S. into the fray even within the U.S. intelligence community. Too funny!
Israel pulls the U.S. around like a Texas cattleman does a wayward bull...by the steel ring in his nose. I for one am darned sick of great American kids getting killed for it (I'm not the only one that has this opinion, think Patreas and Mullen). I'd like to see Tom Schmidt and other Marines like him simply be assigned to Pendleton for the rest of his tour and while away the hours chasing southern CA beauties on the beaches of San Diego than churn the dust of another shithole because the Jews want all the Palestinian land now.
Like Ron Paul says, let the Jews do what they want....alone. I'm voting Paul!

They're no where near the reliable, well-targeted, stragically important devices the press has led many Americans to believe.
IMO, even were they available in their millions they are incapable to evoking strategic victory over any enemy. That's not necessarily because they aren't reliable, but rather, because the intelligence necessary to actually distinguish friend from foe is simply not there. I can't imagine it ever will be as there are too many variables and too many ways for the locals providing the intelligence to falsely target the drones for their own purposes.
But one thing is clear, they do cause strategic backlashes like in Pakistan where the civilians are making it impossible for the U.S. to keep them flying continuously and where the drone killings have alienated an entire country.
So, what does one call a military device that is incapable of ushering in strategic victory but is possible all on its own of causing strategic defeat? We call those things failures...that's what they're called.
