    Another way is to do a system restore go back to a time when it was running faster and use that as a restore point

    Good advice, the only problem is alot of people are liable to turn off stuff they need like software for their wireless connections or god only knows what else, and sometimes they may not know what they turned off to get back where they need to to run. I have to +1 Marty's Mossberg idea, Ive done it myself but I tend to use the Franchi AL/48 or occasionaly the 870 method instead.

    Yes that happened to me, luckily I received a prompt that I deleted too much and opportunity to check standard startup and all drivers were put back...
