How Did you come up with the name for your boat

now that I am back lets play catch up.
I named my boat after my daughters (MIS SAM)
My daughters names are Marissa and Samantha.
I just became a grandpa in April and am thinking of getting a Chris Craft, now my daughters are afraid that the next boat will be named after my grandson His name is Connor.

For me well.....Im not superstious but...I didnt trust that renaming process I bought in 2003 and left the name on there. PEE-J kinda stuck and we learned to like it.

I take the family (wife, 2 daughters and son) to a boat naming lunch. We would discuss the theme and then throw out all kinds of names to see what would stick. The first boat was Fish Lips - it always made people smile or laugh - I came up with that one. The next was Got Fish? - my son came up with that. We liked Got Fish? so much we decided that Got Fish Too? was a good play on the original name - my wife came up with the "Too" instead of "II". The rowboat is Here Fishy Fishy Fishy - all of the kids amost demanded that one years ago. Good luck.

The year before I went into charter fishing, I tried to figure out a name that fits me for the boat and the company and could not find one that fit or one I liked. Back in my younger days I use to race "Mini Max Hydroplanes" and I was always in a hurry to get to where I went...I also have loved to fly fish. One day I had to go to the tackle store and was in a hurry to meet a stair client...paid my buddy and said "see ya, gottafly", ran out the door to my truck,sat down, started it and realized that I just named the boat and the business..."Gottafly"...

well i am a toolman(cornwell tools)so i asked on one of my local forums and we came up with Gut Wrench..

looks like we will rename the new hull(been replaced by mfg) Nut Driver...

originally had a long ass story explaining the boat's original name ( it was a lineage/heritage thing), but we had a hula girl on the back of our boat shirt. She became to be known as the Hula Girl boat, so that name stuck

When I told SWMBO that I was going to buy a bigger boat the princess replied in her perfect southerneese "you do and it will be your a$$" - so I had no choice, I named it YOUAZZ.

mine, well "Get Wet" is because I ONLY know 2 speeds, on the pins & trolling and since Im mostly at WOT, everone in my boat(s) would get drenched, so "Get Wet" and NO, there is Nothing sexual wth name either
