    Thanks to my true friends!

To all my real good friends thanks for coming to my rescue! I am not really happy about telling Cardinal Joe that I was not buying his boat a couple of days before we were scheduled to close. In fact I felt really bad!! But like my friends said when you are making a large purchase like a boat. I think we all agree you have to be very much in LUV with what you are about to invest quite a bit of $$. I was and still am a Yellowfin guy!!! The 31 Cape horn I still believe is the best hardcore 31 foot CC on the market today!!! It is a TANK!!
I had a blast with my yellowfin and felt very proud when I would get very nice rig comments from the owners of Big $$$ sportfishing yachts, which happened quite often.

I work hard to earn and acquire toys, real estate and so on. I sell my services to the public all the time and I sell a very high ticket item that also is something to be very proud of. I could spend days typing with the frustrations I have been through in the last 27 years in my business. I lose big deals all the time. In fact I lose deals that I have big deposits on. Potential customers would call me up and give me a wide spectrum of excuses why they can not proceed with the contract. In my very early years I used to fight it, and get very frustrated and mad. But I learned real quick that no matter what the customer is always right. So now I make it common business practice that if a potential customer even one that has a deposit and contract with my company, calls me up and says what ever that he can not proceed with the balance of the contract. I RETURN his $$$$$ because you CAN NOT sell anything to anyone who does not want it!!!

And it happens quite a bit in todays economy! But I truly feel that what comes around goes around. And if your common business ethics are spotless you will survive RECESSION, DEPRESSIONS, HURRICANES and just about ANYTHING!!! So I have learned sometimes very painfully to always do the right thing with my customers. And my bank account has always got enough $$$ in it to at least pay my bills and provide for my FAMILY. And that is very important to me.

As far as the Jarrett Bay 32, I fell in love with this boat in 2002 off naval renderings. And gave Burt Greene at Jarrett Bay a Deposit back then on the very first hull that was promised to me in 6 to 9 months. Well 1 and 1/2 years later the 32 JB was not even tooled yet so I got tired of waiting. So I asked for my deposit back and got it back. I then bought a 36 contender from Mikey B at Ocean Beach my very first big CC, a great boat but it had the old saltwater ox66 times 3. The fuel burn was sick!!!! And as the people that know me I average around 500 hrs a year. That math just didn't work. So I sold it to Paul and Jim of Clean Sweep who still have her but eventually repowered her with more efficient engines!! I then went on a serious hunt till I met my now very good friend Rob Carmichael known as Waveguide on all the forums. And he introdused me to the Wonderful world of Yellowfin!!!!! I fell in LUV instantly and the first Hooligan was BORN!!! It was a great run with that 34YF but eventually she was getting up in hours and she was a triple engine boat and the economy slowed and so on and so on. So it was time to make a move. Well I must admit I never had a boat resale experience like that. I ran her for three seasons put 1200 hours on her had no warranties left and sold her for $2,000 less than I bought her for and did that in ONE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!! The buyer never came and looked at her. He was from Georgia. He asked for an engine compression check and sent a driver and check for in 2 days!!!! I took most of last year off regrouping, waiting for the new 32YF to become for real!!!!!! I was torn between spending big $$$$ and the economy and procrastinated. When I finally decided it was too late and the long wait ment losing most of this season. Not doable!!! So I decided on Joe's Cape Horn till my neighbor down in Atlantic Beach drags me down to Jarrett Bay to look at n 07 32 for him!!! Well he had a trade and never made the deal.

Me on the other hand fell head over heals for the 32 Jarrett Bay and went on a mission. Well I can very proudly say "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" !!!!!!!!!!

And hence the new "Hooligan" is now a Jarrett Bay 32!!!!!!!!!
