Holy Calamari

Went Marlin fishing yesterday out of Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Didn't catch any Marlin, so we stopped and jigged up some giant squid on the way back to port. Made the trip worth while.

The charter was a bit disappointing, as we dragged gear for 4 hrs. and never raised a fish. The captain & mate spent the entire time on the flybridge looking straight ahead. It was as if they knew we were not going to catch a fish. At least the squid fishing at the end of the day gave everyone a chance to crank a reel. Oh well, what more can you expect from a cheap mexican charter. One of the other boats in the fleet did catch a marlin that day, as I seen it hog tied to the transom.

Holy ink spot, them are some big Squid... Give you a good fight?

Yeah Lee, It was quite a job hauling them up, concidering we were using Penn 80w's. They really shoot out alot of ink, with surprizing force. It was an experience, to say the least.
