    HIRT'N HEAD

Anybody have any suggestion on how to unplug the head. Fished on Saturday
and now the head is stopped up, I think at the macerateor pump. It's in bad spot to get to, outboard of the port engine (I can't even touch it) and the holding tank is full. Can some how they be back flushed?

    Thanks,

Unhook hoses and pull out debris! Not that you'll need them but, rubber gloves in the thick heavy duty nature. After you clean it out you'll have a nasty odor so be sure to bring some drier sheets for the A/C return. Good Luck with it ad don't get it on you!

This will sound totally stupid, but I've seen it work. Just keep the pump running and tap it with a rubber mallet. I used to run an old 70' Hat, and the 27 year old macerator pump got plugged up all the time.

I shit you not. try it. Its at least worth a shot before you start pulling hoses.

    Thanks,
There may be a little spindle at back end of the pump - Turn it a few times with a screwdriver - it may buy you some time

Cram a hose in the outflow and try to back flush that way.

    I did, no cigar.

I think it's in the pump.

It's in a spot you just can't get to.
