Hi everyone, I'm a newbie

I'm from Baton Rouge, LA. We are a fishing family. We mainly fish for speckled trout. and a lot of times its at night. but love to fish for everything. My buddy has a Biiig boat and we fish a few marlin tournaments.

I also have a hankering to catch a tarpon. it if anybody has the same itch and is coming to Louisiana let me know. i cant find anybody that is mad at them.

Tarpontom says this is the best weekend of the year to catch tarpon. I can't go because my wife and her sisters planned a family get together in Houston. did they know it was the best tarpon weekend and the opening of dove season? nnnnooooooh i guess not.

oh well all is not lost. my brother-n-law has a nice crib in houston. pool, tiki bar, big screens to watch the tigers lay waste to the huskies.

annnnnnd nephew-n-law has a boat and is taking me fishing Sunday to either christmas island, the mouth of the Brazes, or east matagora bay. .....sounds impressive anyway.

what you said about west bay is right. but that is too easy. I'm talking about catching them in lake Ponchatrain, at night with lights. not because i'm a sadist. just because that possible action is less than 90 minutes from the house.
